360459 2005-06-02 02:37:00 Hi All,

I have a small problem that is probably my doing but i cant seem to solve it. The system is win 98 with onboard CMI 8330 sound chip. I have formatted and reinstalled 98SE and when i try to get the sound going i end up with the sound repeating over and over and over and over and..... you get the picture :)
I have downloaded the drivers as well as using the original disk but still have the same problem. I have removed and reinstalled the sound devices several times all with the same results.

Any pointers would be greatfully appreciated.

go into control panel > multimedia
1. Under Playback select >SB Playback (220)
2. Under Devices select Mixer Devices then select Mixer dupplex SB16. Under Properties select 'Do not use mixer for this device'
