360957 2005-06-03 13:07:00 i may be completly wrong here but with some components for computers as time goes on they stop making old products so they become rarer and there price actually rises chrisqwert (8267)
360958 2005-06-03 15:05:00 Go to your motherboards website, find your motherboard and find out what it can take. :) memphis (2869)
360959 2005-06-03 19:06:00 if your pc is older it's most unlikely that ddr will be able to be put in.......how many ram slots do you have ?..........ddr and sdram are two different animals..........ddr is 184pin and sdram is 168 so they're not physically compatible and one WILL NOT fit into the others slot.......... drcspy (146)

360962 2005-06-03 23:12:00 Expensive?

Que oldtimer with stories of paying $8000 for 4mb of ram, Having to wait 46 weeks while it was manufactured in some exotic location, Travelling for 4 days on the back of a horse drawn wagon to meet the delivery ship and then scratch building the comp for it to go in with just 3 fig leaves, a cocunut husk, a broken AM radio and a sheep.

You youngsters of today, no idea at all. ;)

You don't know the meaning of the word expensive.
Ram is about the cheapest thing in your computer.
It's not that long ago that ram cost $99 + gst per meg.
