360646 2005-06-02 17:11:00 When I try to save a single document as a webpage I get this error message:
(Blast why cant I paste a picture in here?

basically saying that IE 4 doesnt support some of the formatting and it will be lost or changed.
I Dont and never have had IE4 only IE6!!
What gives? Can you help I need to post this to an intranet site? Ive done it before at work with no probs but never from home.

Using WXPsp2 Home and Word 2003(Office Std). When I preview it as a webpage the formatting is all wrong, some greyed out some scrambled and shifted all over the page.

Aha. As a recent expert in Word created webpages I can tell you all about this. hehe. You can untick this option, go into Words help and read about that message. There is an item in OPTIONS where you can tell it to ignore all that and just go ahead and save.
What it means is, someone who then views the webpage using IE4 will not see it correctly, it will look messed up. This will also be the case with people viewing it in other browsers too.
Its because, while you CAN do this with Word, its not really a proper webpage designing program.

360649 2005-06-03 15:48:00 Thanks pctek I'll try that. If the message refers to other viewers browsers why doesnt it show correctly in mine? Apteryx (294)
360650 2005-06-04 02:55:00 Its not just other browsers. Although it could look ok to you and then not for others. Its Word. As I said, its not really the right programme for webpages. pctek (84)
360651 2005-06-04 06:03:00 MS Word to create web pages :( , ever seen the unnessary html this program creates, which slows down the loading of the webpage.
BTW you want your web pages to be veiwable by all browser platforms (even Apple's  )
