361041 2006-09-09 07:15:00 I just went through the exact same problem as you are just trying to install eve online and have done dozens of searches across the internet for solutions. This is what solved my problem.

oca.microsoft.com

that is a RAM tester and is very simple to use. Heck I will even explain in simple steps so you dont have to read as much info.

1. Download the program
2. Open program and insert a 3.5 floppy into your disk drive
3. save to the disk and to desktop incase =)
4. turn off your pc
5. take out all of your RAM but 1 stick and restart
6. select first boot device as 3.5 floppy on your CMOS
7. (make sure your disk is in the 3.5 drive) let it run the program. You will see the RAM test run through a series of 6 tests if it says "successful" your good to go. If it says failure there's your problem.
8. hit "X" and turn off your pc. Use another stick of RAM and repeat step 7.

I can't tell you how many things I have tried from the windows installer updates to manually running /NSIS it took but that did it and I hope it works for you.

Good luck

361046 2007-05-17 07:15:00 paudly: read this thread. The /ncrc option is not recommended, because it lets you try to install a faulty file which is either incomplete or has been corrupted in some way.

Another possible cause of installation problems is bad memory. Decompressing uses lots of memory, and tolerates no errors, so it "tests" memory.

361047 2008-03-24 19:33:00 I have downloaded limewire, and i now want to unistall it. but when i do this window comes up, and says '' the installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. This could be the result of a damage disk, a failed download or virus.

You may want to contact the author of this installer or obtain a new copy.

It may be possible to skip this check using the /NRC command line switch

{NOT RECOMMENDED}''

How do i get the '/NRC command line switch'. or how do i simply unistall limewire 4.16.6 ?

361048 2008-03-25 00:18:00 Try what it says here (nsis.sourceforge.net)

Did you scan for viruses etc, to see if you've got any. Since thats what can happen, if u use programs like Limewire?
