I refrained in order to help the guy. :) Anyway, I believe the technically correct term is actually "cup holder" |

| 360722 | 2005-06-03 11:36:00 | Thanks all Had a go at it tonight. Pulled the cdrom out, pulled apart and checked everything out. Put back together but alas no go. I had a light on boot up previously but haven’t got one now. Went to device manager and the comp says its working properly, opened drawer with paperclip and stuck cd in and tried to open files on disc but would not detect disc. At least when you try to open the cdrom drawer it doesn’t freeze up any more. Time for a new one I think. For those purists amongst us, sorry for the spelling mistakes. I'm working on a comp with dial-up (having been used to jetstream) and the wife was standing at the door waiting to be unleashed on the Auck shops. As you can imagine she was getting a bit short, so I had to run with what I threw down as I couldn't wait the hours it seems to take for the pages to load on dial-up. :D |
