360690 2005-06-03 09:14:00 If your intention is to post a Uniform resource Locator (URL) on a forum that permits this so someone can view a image stored on an ISP somewhere in cyber space then as all ready posted:

Right click on image and select properties
Copy the URL and paste in forum, or

Use the HTML tags to post it. For example:

<A HREF = "www.website.com

Where the word Cat will be the underlined hyperlink to the image.

Note: It is good practice, when posting an URL on a forum to post the url in such a manner that the user clicking it, opens the URL in a new browser window, to prevent losing the forum page. To do this you add a parameter called TARGET to the end of the HTML tag posting.

For example:

<A HREF = "www.website.com TARGET = "_blank">Cat</A>

_blank will cause image to open in a new window

If the forum permits the posting of the image itself then you would do as above but also add the appropriate HTML tags. For example, lets suppose you have a image called cat.jpg located at www.website.com To post the image so it is seen using HTML tags you would do the following:

<IMG SRC = "www.website.com height = "x" width = "y">

Where x and y is the size of the image. You can omit the height and width parameters from the tag is you prefer.

Timothy
