| 361022 | 2005-06-03 13:58:00 | Hi guy. I am using the d-link dsl 302g and use the internet provied by Orcon bit stream. I just bough a dynalink wireless/router/switch rtw 026 as i planed to go wireless. But i can not confirgue so that the wireless router get the internet from the adsl modem. I am new to this so i dont know where to start. Could anyone help me to confirgue this? Thank you very much :) |

| 361023 | 2005-06-03 14:06:00 | Well, in very simple terms.... Phone Line - ADSL Modem - Connected to the "WAN Port" in your wireless router.... And basically, that's it! The network itself is complete, provided you have setup the modem properly... Next, you'll need to configure your computer, to connect via wireless... Your computer should auto detect your network, select that... And just in tcp/ip under settings, configure the settings so that you can get a IP address either by static assignment, or by "automatic" using dhcp... And final step??? Change the gateway, so that it "points" towards your adsl modem... So if you adsl modem ip is 10.1.1.1, then change the gateway ip to that. |
