2014-10-20 04:54:00 | After sorting out a problem with Firefox I now notice that when I try to open Internet Explorer it just flashes and won't open. I have had this problem before, but I don't seem to be able to fix it this time around. I don't use IE so am not particularly worried about it, but would like to fix it if possible. Any help appreciated thanks.

2014-10-20 05:05:00 | IE is corrupted: Have a look at support2.microsoft.com Select the version / OS you have. Failing that have a read of internet-explorer-wont-open/ (www.techsupportall.com)

2014-10-20 07:10:00 | Try this, open the run box , type in iexplore -extoff see if IE stays open, if it does then the problem could be a Add-on causing the problem. | wainuitech (129) | |

2014-10-20 08:56:00 | Okay -- Try this, no idea if it will work or not. Go to cnedelcu.blogspot.co.nz down to Solution 3 -- Select the script that applies to your version of IE. The download button is on the right of the page that opens, a green Bar. Select the Manual Download, looks like the "Automatic" has some sort of Extra in it, Nod32 Blocked the Automatic but didn't detect anything in the manual. I just had a look at the script contents -- it basically registers the dll's again.

2014-10-21 00:30:00 | Thanks wainuitech. That looks promising but so far I haven't been able to get the download. It looks as though I am not intended to use IE which they describe as the worst browser. LOL. | Pato (2463) | |

It looks as though I am not intended to use IE which they describe as the worst browser. LOL. Hmmmmm Sounds like theres more to it than just IE causing a problem. Just tried it on FF and it s working fine. What AV do you have installed ? -- Sometimes Malware /Viruses can cause all sorts of problems. Other wise, heres the link to the Internet Explorer 32-bit version on Windows 64-bit, download-internet-explorer-7-8-and-9-repair-script-32-bit-ie-on-64-bit-windows-f28920.html (filetrip.net) Download button on the right, then Select MANUAL download. |

2014-10-21 03:01:00 | I am using ESET Security and 32bit windows. I can download "28919-ie8-rereg.zip" but that is as far as it goes. Won't download data. I used the link in post #6. The other day I got automatic updates from MS. Said 1-17, but it got stuck on #10 and froze. Perhaps that caused the trouble I had with FF and now this trouble with IE.
