1386439 2014-10-18 21:05:00 I have a Toshiba laptop win 7 and I have lost the num lock the top 4 will work home,end,pgup and pgdn all work but when I press num lock key I get the sound but none of the numbers will type is settings in win 7 or within the Toshiba laptop? micky (7329)

Have a read of all the suggestions here superuser.com See if any apply or work - Check the settings under Ease of Access Center.

1386446 2014-10-20 07:06:00 Try checking your BIOS settings (usually press Delete key while booting, Tosh may be a different key); most likely under Boot settings menu, check if Numlock is set to disabled, enable it if so.
Press F10 to save and exit.

1386447 2014-10-20 18:55:00 It's also possible the keyboard is faulty. A section of my 2nd hand laptop's keyboard didn't work and when I replaced it I found what looked like coffee stains underneath. dugimodo (138)
