| 1386255 | 2014-10-14 00:51:00 | How to delete an OS? I don't won't to put the hard drive on another computer . Drive erase won't see an SSD drive. The OS DVD won't do it so is there a program or way to delete the OS because I put the wrong number in without being connected to the Internet when installing Windows 7 on my new computer and it took the number from the full version and now I have to install from scratch. I got the numbers mixed up from upgrade and full. | lostsoul62 (16011) | ||

When you boot off the OS DVD select a custom install, when it asks where to install there are options on the screen that allow you to delete or format the partitions. Deleting all the partitions off a drive is the fastest way to completely wipe it and windows will happily create new ones during install. |
