| 1372594 | 2014-04-13 09:14:00 | In Wellington here. I see AKL is till on a 23 with a 16 overnight tonight. 13/8 for us. Sitting here in front of my Pc with a ice breaker top and a puff jacket, heater still off. The TV room has the heat pump going. We do have insulation - taken up with the govt scheme. While the heat pump is a lot more cost effective than a small oil fin heater (and warmer). Unless the owner install additional heat pumps and/or central heating or corridor heaters it's still concentrating the heat in one room right? Not being a softie but Wellington feels colder than when I head to Turoa for skiing at least the rooms and the foyers are heated correctly. |

| 1372599 | 2014-04-13 19:37:00 | Had the fire alight most of last week, mainly to dry the washing as it rained all week. Needed gloves when I went for a ride yesterday but didn't think I would so didn't wear them and regretted it all the way round. | gary67 (56) | ||
| 1372600 | 2014-04-13 19:53:00 | I'd be worried if winter weather was here as it's only autumn :p Still bare feet and t shirts for me so far, did get slightly cooler over the weekend but still not even close to being cold. Because it's been so warm a lot of people will be saying how "freezing" it is as soon as it does get a little cold, it's the sudden contrast that makes it feel that way. I suspect if your cold day in a jacket in front of the PC had happened mid winter it would have felt like a mild day in comparison to actual winter temperatures. |

| 1372603 | 2014-04-13 20:34:00 | No, in Auckland it's still hot and sunny. It never starts to get cold until end of April at least.....cool nights (cool not cold) and still warm days. There was however, a wee bit of rain last night! Yay! Finally. It's so dry here....been watering the gardens, but I wasn't paying attention to the trees. My TiTree has died......never had to water a big tree before...poor thing.... Garden going well, grape vine only just starting to turn it's leaves, and the cheery tree hasn't at all yet, they're still green and attached to the plant. Next doors peach tree is only just starting to turn yellowish. |
