1372689 2014-04-17 20:59:00 I get the feeling you keep trying to educate me on how it works, in order to try and sell me on the idea of it? But, I'm 100% familiar with how it works already :-/

I'm actually trying to get my head around the concept. The more I read about it the less I'm sure if it's actually going to be a workable idea.

Pretty much. It's a nice idea in theory. Practicality of it is significantly diminished.

"Lets sign up for iTunes on our Android Phone so we can get ads for products and pay for things at the counter" -- Said no Android user ever.

1372691 2014-04-20 06:54:00 Interesting thread on geekzone when someone went to pay with a asb eftpos card, was holding his wallet with the same hand and his pay wave gem visa in his wallet completed the purchase. plod (107)
1372692 2014-04-20 07:29:00 Completely plausible too, the effective range of the cards / phone NFC is ~1-2CM Chilling_Silence (9)

Except that I don't see iTunes coming out for Android any time soon. I don't know too many Android users who like paying for stuff ;)

I agree that there aren't too many Android users who would want to join the Apple club.

1372694 2014-04-21 00:19:00 Percentage wise, because Android also works on the absolute bottom-end handsets, yes iOS users are more likely to pay for apps.

In terms of sheer raw numbers of users, because Android dominates iOS something like 4:1, yeah Android users still have a higher headcount of users who pay for apps (and other things).
