1372524 2014-04-12 02:52:00 So we just purchased our first home and arranging for transfer off Internet and phone( wife not keen to go naked, broadband that is). Here was me thinking the days of a home phone number stuck to an exchange was over. So a new number. Plus 3 months still left on our contract so it's cheaper to pay for the new installation then to break contract.
Rant over

1372525 2014-04-12 02:58:00 Grats on your purchase! :)

Number should be able to stay, just sign up with 2talk, port the number, then have it "redirected" to your main home number for the time being. It'll cost you like ~$5-10 a month for it, but saves having to piss around updating everything. Later on if you ever go VoIP, number is already there and good to go!

And thanks chill, it's been a hard slog when you do things backwards.

Now at least any money you spend on your home will be going back into yours and the others half's pocket instead of someone else's.

You brought in Wainuiomata ?
