| 362146 | 2005-06-08 11:44:00 | My DMA settings keep changing. When I play a DVD my DMA settings changes from my selected DMA setting to PIO Mode wich make the DVD run slow and choppy.... What should I do? |

| 362147 | 2005-06-08 11:56:00 | Generally the throttling down of DMA/PIO settings is caused by errors, The protocol slows down the transfer to the point that the data is being transferred without errors. I would suggest trying another DVD drive and cable, But that is probally out of the question. Second suggestion is to make sure the software enviorment is in pristine condition and that you have the latest and greatest motherboard drivers. Third, Is your comp up to the task?, can your mobo, cpu, ram combo handle the influx and display of information. Fourthly, clean the DVD, or make sure your using one in good condition. Fiverly (HA) Try another DVD Drive (and cable) |
