Thanks for the replies. As it turned out, I changed some of the parts and ended up with a configuration that cost a little less than the original specs I posted AND was a little more powerful. I went for a socket 939 box and a Winchester core 3000+ processor (a Venice core processor was just outside of my budget :annoyed: ) and got 1GB of dual-channel memory. This should help video-editing duties quite nicely. |

I agree with others here socket 939 is better and more ram is better than most any othe upgrade except graphics card for performance. |
