| 363042 | 2005-06-11 07:02:00 | I have a Dell Dimension 2400 running Win XP that I'd like to reboot remotely by simply turning the power off and on using a Smitch (Smart Switch). But the machine has a push button on the front that needs to be pushed to start it. Does anyone know if there's a way of by-passing that so that the machine starts whenever the power is switched on? | TideMan (4279) | ||
| 363043 | 2005-06-11 07:47:00 | Normally in the Bios there is an option to make the PC start after a power loss. If this is set to on or enabled then when the PC gets mains power it will start. This is how I have servers and other critical PC's setup so they come back online after a power failure. That is if the power failure is long enough to make the UPS shutdown. | berryb (99) | ||
