| 362315 | 2005-06-09 08:24:00 | Good evening, My Windows Media Player 10 has stopped working. I'm running on WinXP pro with sp2 installed (the windows was clean installed just this week). Whenever I click on its icon (shortcut or otherwise) the hourglass comes up for about 2 seconds and then nothing happens. I uninstalled it and tried to install it fresh (downloaded straight off microsoft's website) and it gave an error message: "This version of Windows Media Technologies is incompatible with this version of Windows. For more information, view the information at the Microsoft web site." I uninstalled the media player through the "Add/Remove Windows components" option in "Add or Remove Programs". It doesn't really unistall it. It just stops it from showing on the start menu... Is there anyway of fixing this problem? |
