363178 2005-06-11 16:42:00 This is what I've narrowed my search down to, as you can see I'm being more careful with the more . . . important . . . parts of my soon-to-be gaming pc .

Some feedback about this would be helpful, and I would like to know about preferences and past experiences with these components if you have or had it .


MOTHERBOARD:

-> ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe

-> DFI LANPARTY NF4 SLI-DR

CPU:

-> AMD ATHLON 64 4000+ San Diego Core

-> AMD ATHLON 64 3800+ Venice Core

VIDEO CARD:

-> XFX 6800 GT

RAM:

-> CORSAIR XMS 1 GB (2 X 512MB; 2-3-3-6)

-> CORSAIR XMS 1GB (2 X 512MB; 2-2-2-5)

Nice . But put it back to the Tsunami case and use an enermax PSU .

I agree about the PSU, but I like Themaltake's latest case better than the tsunami case. I think its called the Kandalf.
Which one does everyone else like (they are both very good cases)?

Kandalf - Looks like a beetle. The Soprano is OK. I also like the Coolermaster Wavemaster.

Never had a problem with one yet, but seagate on the other hand... :yuck:

Kandalf looks alright but,

Cons:

* Might be heavy for some
* Tool-less PCI bracket won't allow the use of 2 slot video cards
* Front door unlatches easily

...no SLI then? :eek:
