363189 2005-07-02 20:40:00 Kandalf looks alright but,

Cons:

* Might be heavy for some
* Tool-less PCI bracket won't allow the use of 2 slot video cards
* Front door unlatches easily

...no SLI then? :eek:
The Tsunami has a tool-less PCI bracket. I had an issue with my card when I got a 2 slot one, initially it was fine but after 1 month it played up and I think it had pushed it out just a tiny bit, so I took the tool-less part out. You can with that case, it allows you to remove it and just use the regular screw in arrangement. Kandalf may well be the same.

Regards Maxtor - Seagate. All components can fail but I go by the failure rate. I've had a lot more Maxtors fail than Seagates and Seagates do have the 5 year warranty. On the whole I think they are the better brand. Quiet too.

363190 2005-07-03 00:24:00 I might have to switch to seagate for my next hard drive. I used to only buy Western Digital because they had the lowest failure rate when I built my first computer (about 5 years ago). Since then I've had 2 drives fail on me (1 was second hand so it wasn't unexpected, the other one was thankfully under waranty), and a few of my friends have had their WD drives fail. The ones that bought seagate are still going strong.
I think WD only have a 3 year warranty aswell.
