| 363270 | 2005-06-12 03:52:00 | I'm running Windows XP and am unable to record the sounds that are playing perfectly well from external devices plugged into my HP Pavillion 1580. Thus, not only can I not record these sounds from Audobe Audition or from my earlier Cool Edit, but I can't even record these sounds from the little Sound Recorder facility that comes with Windows. I'm sure it must be something simple - but I'm blowed if I can figure our what. | Phil (717) | ||
| 363271 | 2005-06-12 04:12:00 | A similar problem as you described occurred on the HP 510a. The solution for that was to do the following: Open volume control by double clicking the sound card icon in the systemtray Click the advanced button On the microphone volume control, remove the tick from 1 +20db gain and click close Close the volume controls Now repeat above process, but this time replace the tick next to 1 +20db gain Perhaps this will work for you too.
