2005-06-15 04:41:00 | What is your motherboard make & model | Overdrive_5000 (4950) | |
2005-06-15 05:18:00 | Yes, you will need to know your motherboard model and brand, a program such as Everest (www.lavalys.hu) will most likely give you the right info, if in doubt check on the motherboard itself - the model number is usually written on the board between PCI slots, and the brand is probably on it too. Once you have that information, go to the manufacturer's website and download the new bios - it will usually come with the appropriate flash program as well.

2005-06-17 01:33:00 | You could try this one here (www.bios-drivers.com) it looks a bit old though 2002 | Overdrive_5000 (4950) | |
2005-06-17 05:04:00 | Looks like all A-Trend's sites are dead (www.a-trend.com, www.atrendhk.com, www.atrend.nl and www.atrend.com.tw - probably a dead company.) An archived version of their site may prove OK: web.archive.org For how to flash the bios web.archive.org for the flashing program web.archive.org for the bios update file. And here: for all archived versions: web.archive.org

2005-06-17 05:07:00 | Only thing that looks dodgy is the bios upgrade file is only 11.5 kb - most are 256kb or more.. I'd save the original bios to disk and check the size before you flash so as not to ruin the board. Yep, sorry - I don't think you should use the one I have the link to, it's too small and is the same version as the one from driverguide anyway.

2005-06-17 05:13:00 | a safer way would be simply to use ide or raid card. mind you i would look at throwing the motherboard out and get a decent board and cpu. with a 440LX board your not going to be running a very fast cpu. | tweak'e (69) | |
