| 364018 | 2005-06-15 02:03:00 | after spending a whole night installing gentoo (from universal disc 2005.0) and get it running.. i've updated the portage tree and updated the portage itself and run emerge enlightenment x11 also got installed so did the other dependencies now when i type in startx it still evendually comes back to the command line after trying to load itself now.. i know there is a few config files that i'm supose to edit but.. what exactly are they and where they are..i've no idea is there a guide out there that is targeted specifically at this? ..need help..or jz need help with googling skills |

All linux distros as far as I know do it the same 2 or 3 ways. See www.gentoo.org |
