363657 2005-06-13 20:31:00 Is there a way to allow automatic updates to run, when an end user is Power Group level. I dont want to allow Domain Users administrative rights on the local box. Wwright (8349)
363658 2005-06-14 05:44:00 Use Group Policy to define your autoupdates and installs. Depending on the numbers of client you could look at Microsofts SUS software. SUS works well for me. berryb (99)
363659 2005-06-14 23:15:00 Same here. Use M$ SUS Group Policy. And add this to the registries manually if required.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\WindowsUpdate]
"WUServer"="http://SUSserver"
"WUStatusServer"="http://SUSserver"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Win dows\WindowsUpdate\AU]
"UseWUServer"=dword:00000001
"RescheduleWaitTime"=dword:00000005
"NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers"=dword:00000001
"NoAutoUpdate"=dword:00000000
"AUOptions"=dword:00000003
"ScheduledInstallDay"=dword:00000000
"ScheduledInstallTime"=dword:0000000e
