Im just a little hung up on the fact that KDE have blacklisted GCC 4. I cant compile amarok and I'm more than a little peeved about it. |

Anything you download while you are logged on this way will not be charged against your bandwidth. Hmm the things we learn :D Didn't know that, but I do now :D Thanx |

| 363675 | 2005-06-14 09:52:00 | They've blacklisted gcc-4? Odd.... That sucks coz I wanted to build a new system for my family using that (Gentoo of course). In the mean time, Im sticking with Gentoo, kde-3.4.1, gcc-3.4.1, and building this all in to a Bootable LiveCD. (Still in the works, still slow progress, but as soon as I can work out why the bl00dy UnionFS module is larger than 4megs, I'll be sorted) Chill. |

Where did you get that information from? The release notes (fedora.redhat.com) say this: 6.3.1.A GCC Compiler Collection Fedora Core 4 has been built using GCC 4.0, which is included with the distribution. |

| 363677 | 2005-06-15 08:40:00 | Ok. Have spent some time tweaking. I found here (www.redhat.com) that selinux interferes with installing the nvidia drivers. Diable selinux, reinstall/install drivers and away you go. 3D all running now :) | Sam I Am (1679) | ||

Far out, sorry for sounding stupid, but the plan I'm on is not caped, it stays full speed, if I go over 10Gb I have to pay per Mb. I need to be 100% sure, so if I get my download this way, I will not have to pay anymore than my usual bill. |

| 363679 | 2005-06-15 21:05:00 | Yup. You only have access to the jetstreamgames realm though. | Sam I Am (1679) | ||
| 363680 | 2005-06-15 22:00:00 | Just _make sure_ that you're connected to the realm!! Best test is trying to go to Google or hotmail, it wont work. You can even call you ISP and they can check if you're currently connected to "the net". If not te you're on the realm and can download til your hearts content! | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||
| 363681 | 2005-06-16 01:27:00 | I won't be installing Core 4 on my main system straight away, I like to wait a week or two first :p As PressF1's main Fedora support person, we expect you to install it and be up to speed for PressF1 support. :xmouth: |
