364344 2005-06-16 06:47:00 Hi

Running Windows XP Home with a PC Chips motherboard (M925)

Was using Partition Magic 8 to delete an empty partition --- as it does it requested I reboot the PC so that it could apply the changes and then it auto-rebooted the PC but when the PC started up again after that it goes straight to a Novell Netware Ready Firmware boot screen and won't boot any further
The following code displays:
"RPL -- ROM -- ADR:000D 87B9 040F
RPL -- ROM -- IRQ: 11
RPL -- ROM -- PIO: D000

RPL -- ROM -- FFC: 1 .... "(counts up from 1 before going to a failed boot message)
and then thats it!!!
Have looked in the BIOS and everything seems to be set up okay so am mystified as to what is going on!!
I was not deleting the primmary partition with the Op System etc on it so don't know why my PC won't boot up normally!!!
Can someone please help!!

364346 2005-06-16 09:56:00 No it's not; but it has just occurred to me that the letter for the partition that I was deleting was "C" -- my primary partition has drive letter "F" so am wandering if it won't boot properly cause it can't find a drive letter "C"???? Chemical Ali (118)
364347 2005-06-16 10:29:00 Im guessing C: was the active partition, which is needed to boot. Myth (110)
