365252 2005-06-19 08:16:00 When I get a geneology email it quite often has an attachment - photos of people, gravestones etc ... or geneology tables or census details etc. I save the attachments to a geneology file, but also more often than not want to also save the email as it has pertinent comments. One cannot delete the attachments on a received email in Outlook Express so to get around this it is possible to forward the email to oneself and when preparing to delete the attachments so they do not take up heaps of space. The problem then is that the date is not representative as it is not in the sequence that one has received. I could change the date on the PC just when sending however that does seem a bit over the top !

Any thoughts on how I could do this please ? (must look at Outlook itself, which may allow, but that is a whole new ballgame !!!) :@@:
