364991 2005-06-18 13:05:00 Heya
As a new ADSL consumer, I was wondering is there a way to tell what your usage is; at any time. For example if halfway through the month I wanted to check how much of my 1GB has been used, is there a way I can do it.
Probably a no0b question but oh well.

Also, how strict are Telecom on their bandwidth monitoring (do they give you any slack, or is it exactly 1GB and then your bandwidth drops).

364993 2005-06-18 23:23:00 Thanks for that, how strict are Xtra with the bandwidth usage? Especially in the first month. Myth (110)

364995 2005-06-19 09:47:00 It varies.

My mates can get away with a few GB over their limits, but I get capped as soon as I pass the mark.

I swear, 1MB and boom.

364996 2005-06-20 03:19:00 Its my first month.. so all guess work for me still.
rather happy with it all though and ..SURPRISE SURPRISE.. the help desk has been great.

Just my billing I have to sort out. The cut off for open plan dial up account was innitiated at 00.00.01 on the day Jet stream was started.. but broadband service was not available until 16.35... this meant I had at least 16 hrs of $2.50 ph usage. I whinged and got a twenty hour credit! :) (I 'clicked' to it earlier than 4.30pm).

My recent bill from telecom has a monthly for my Xtra dial up and the same for jetstream. so this I have to sort out, as I understand the Telecom " monthy in advance" thingee.. so my xtra was paid in advance anyway?... just a heads up anyway.
:)
