365559 2005-06-20 23:01:00 I am trying to load PCCillin on to my Win2000Pro computer having gone through a major meltdown after 'updating my drivers' thanks to the Microsoft update programme, and as a result having to reload Win2k and a lot of programmes. PCcillin is the only one that won't go back in, I get this error message:

'Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid'.

Any help appreciated, thanks, Heather.

Moral of the story: If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

365561 2005-06-21 02:35:00 Got quite excited when I saw my exact problem there in black and white! Unfortunately the link to the 'windows installer cleanup utility' doesn't exist any more . Had a browse through the ms site but couldn't find it as a download . Seems to have been put into XP, but not earlier versions .

Any idea where I can find it (I think it's called msciu . exe) for Win2000?

That's if it will be any different from the other uninstallation processes I have tried . The add and remove programs would not uninstall PCcillin so I could try a clean re-install, so I downloaded a little programme called Your Uninstaller which seemed to do a very thorough job, then I manually removed absolutely everything else I could find that was still left over . It was everywhere!

Then restarted the computer again, and tried again, still the same error message .
