| 365370 | 2005-06-20 02:07:00 | I have been trying to get a friends puter running again, XP Home, with Sp2 installed. I tried to show her how to use System Restore, and I get this message "System restore has been turned off by group policy. To turn on system restore, contact your domain administrator." I know there are lots of you out there that don't like this program, but I have found it to be useful sometimes, so can you please explain what the above means. Her son set up another user on the computer, which we uninstalled again, but how do I get her back admin rights, if that doesn't do it? I am sorry if I sound thick, but I haven't played with user accounts, and anything I want to do on my puter, I can. :help: And the reason I was trying to fix her puter was when she goes online, she can't get on through msn or even when she goes to her bank site, she gets errors, and it won't open, which now I can't check if I have fixed as Xtra is down. And yes, I have installed Firefox, but that does not solve the msn messanger problem, or the xtra one. LOL |
