366269 2005-06-23 03:20:00 Since I downloaded some software updates last night a red oblong has been apearing at the top left of my screen, containing the words Games for one.com. It has no connection to the software that I am aware of and Google didn't come up with anything.

I have run NAV. AdAware and Spybot S&D. Nothing was turned up by any of them. A serch of my HDs found nothing and there is nothing in Ad Remove Programs either.

Should I be worried? I AM WORIED! Any sugestions? :horrified

Thanks God Father, I Googled "Games For One.com" I didn,t think the spaces would matter. I thought Google was better than that.

ZoneAlarm was the first thing I looked at, I forgot to say so. Sleep has been problematic lately, my head is muddled. Task Manager doesn't show anything that looks wrong to me.

366274 2005-06-23 05:38:00 a red oblong has been apearing at the top left of my screen, containing the words Games for one.com. Is it on the Desktop or in your browser? Is it clickable? You might want to post a screenshot of it here (sal.neoburn.net) for us to see. FoxyMX (5)

It is on the Desktop, Right in the top left corner; about 1.5 x 3 or 4 centimetres with dull yelowish text on a red background. It comes and goes, right now it is gone.

I looked at the URLs for a lot of the sites that Google turned up. There was no apperant connection to the site I downloaded from. I have Spybot S&D Teatimer on so the registry should be clean.

366276 2005-06-23 12:04:00 Download and run CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/) and clear out all your temporary internet files etc. You don't have active desktop turned on to display a webpage? Jen (38)

I had my computer scanned at PC Pitstop. It came up with

AntivirusGold-trogen! HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Ext\Stats\{72267F6A-A6F9-11D0-BC94-00C04FB67863} : I don't know if it is relevant, but I renamed it. I ran CCleaner to. We will see if that makes a difference. Must go now
