| 366149 | 2005-06-22 09:15:00 | I want to try something out, but need my video to be in WMV format. Is there a quick easy way of converting an avi to a wmv file? And free? Thanks, Mike. |

It's a free download version 2.1 from microsoft update (says it comes with XP SP2 update), or you can download version 2 from freeware sites without the drama. (about 11mb?) I think you need to be running XP to use it though. HTH |

As an example, besides its great encoding abilities, is that it can capture your screen as a video file with audio. I've used it to make some tutorials on how to use yahoo messenger, how to defrag, how to use FireFox etc, etc and emailed them over to my mum in oz whos new to computers. |
