365971 2005-06-21 23:58:00 Does anyone know how to turn off the Nvidia restart everytime you change our monitor setup?

For example: if I change my setup to dualview from horiziontal span it tells me to restart my computer. the setting in the display properties dialog reads "Apply new setting without restarting" but I cant find one for the Nvidia toolbox anywhere.

Any help would be great.

365972 2005-06-22 02:23:00 Check in Display Properties--->Advanced--->General

Make sure that: Apply settings without restarting is selected.

That should stop the system from restarting every time you change your settings.

cheers

Someone has told me it might just be the FX series that does this . . . . is this true??

365974 2005-06-22 03:50:00 Update your video card and motherboard drivers.

I have a couple FX cards, and neither insist upon a reboot, though they did come with crap drivers.....
