| 366226 | 2005-06-23 06:11:00 | Your log looks clean but you have a huge number of programs/processes running in the background which would not be helping with your problem one bit. Pruning them back drastically will make a big difference to how your computer runs. Go to Start > Run, type in msconfig and have a look at the entries under the Startup tab. From the information at the two sites posted below you will be able to determine which processes can be safely disabled or not. Note that rather than disable all of them in the Startup box I would recommend that you first go into each program and look in their Tools, Options, or whatever for an option to disable them from running at startup.
