366044 2005-06-22 14:48:00 Are you sure you are saving to C drive? What does C drive show for available free space? (under My Computer, right-click on the C drive > Properties).

You weren't deleting the ~.tmp files belonging to the Word document while you still had the document open before when it crashed?

366047 2005-06-24 02:43:00 Hope you managed to get everything sorted.

The 'disk is full' message occurs when you get corrupted objects in your doc (esp Equation Editor) or links. Microsoft have an article on it at support.microsoft.com which may be of use for future reference.

I have found that this occurs quite regularly if you have lots of embedded equations in the doc. Very frustrating!

Hi beetle

Dig out your MS Word or MS Office program disc, open Word and go to Help>Detect and Repair.

Insert the disc as requested and that may fix any corrupt files you may have, otherwise you may have a program conflict or computer fault. I find Word to be very stable indeed and I use it daily for all sorts of documents, some very large and full of images etc. I can't recall it ever crashing on me over the last 4 years.

I did run into a problem with Outlook a few months back, but Detect & Repair fixed that in two shakes of a dead lamb's tail.

Cheers

And why do you ever save to the c:\ drive always?

And you might ask whether or not Beetle has one physical hard drive partitioned into C:\ D:\ or more or Beetle may have two physical hard drives with several partitions on each.

There may only be one physical hard drive with a number of partitions and a number of logical drives.

Who knows?

I know that with WinXP and with two physical hard drives I can make the "My Documents" folder to be on any drive ( logical ) I want.

366051 2005-06-24 15:07:00 I'd willingly help, but I'm a few hundred Ks too far away. Good luck.
