| 365819 | 2005-06-21 10:14:00 | Running Win98 and OE6 On opening OE the dial-up connection box appears OK. Enter user name and password and connection is made OK and messages downloaded. Open a message, click on Reply and enter reply meassage, alls still OK. NOW THE PROBLEM - click on SEND and ISP connection closes, then Dial-up Connection box reappears asking for username / password to make a new connection! This is a recent problem, all was OK a week ago - WHY? Any help appreciated. |

| 365821 | 2005-06-21 10:18:00 | Just to clarify things, the internet connection doesn't cut off immediately after the emails are downloaded, but stays open up until the point you try to send an email? Do you only have the one ISP account set up under Outlook Express? | Jen (38) | ||
| 365822 | 2005-06-21 10:27:00 | Check tools/options/connection/hang up after sending and receiving in OE. Sounds like this is ticked. |

| 365824 | 2005-06-21 11:41:00 | Check this. Start Outlook Express. On the Tools menu, click Accounts. Click your Internet e-mail account, and then click Properties. On the Connection tab, click to clear the "Always connect to this account using" check box, and then click Apply. Click OK to close the Account Properties dialog box, and then click Close to close the Internet Accounts dialog box. Exit Outlook Express. |
