I love the sort by year released option in WMP10, but i have yet to find a way to edit the year it was released. The only way is to get WMP to search its database - "find album info", but i have many albums that arent popular to be in the database
Anyone know of any third party tools that would allow me to do this? |

In WMP10, in the main Library tab, if the Date Released column isn't showing, right click a column header and select "Date Released" from the list. Now highlight a specific song you wish to edit the year for by left clicking it and once its selected left click the year, it should highlight the year ready to be edited. Type in a new date and press Enter. Done. |

You could get the year released and auto rename for a whole batch at the same time, by using something like Cdex to access a CD database such as freedb.org. |
