| 367081 | 2005-06-25 23:12:00 | I have no sound when Windows starts and used to get sound when Avast updated. The obvious is sound settings via the System tray control but all these are normal including the advanced settings.I get what I expect from all sound sources Midi, wav, etc including web pages,it just appears to be these 2 that are faulty. |

This generally works great, but if this fails then it is worthwhile going to the manufacturer's website for your sound card and checking whether there is an upgrade for your soundcard driver. You did not say that much about the symptoms of the problem you are experiencing, or what Windows operating system you are using, but just incase you situtation fits the following article to a T, you may find this artcle helpful: System sounds may not work after upgrading to Windows Me, Windows 98, or Windows 98 Second Edition (support.microsoft.com) Regards, Timothy |
