1387923 2014-11-10 03:51:00 As long as the caps lock works, it could either be a faulty Key or Keyboard. You may need to replace it. wainuitech (129)
1387924 2014-11-10 06:12:00 I imagine if the key still works but the light doesn't then the light is faulty, not the keyboard. Agent_24 (57)

No
No it wont fix the problem
No, keyboards are not designed to be repaired, & you cant get parts to repair keyboards (99% of the time) . You replace the whole keyboard.
Or pay someone $300+ to actually pull the KB apart & manually repair it . Thats why its a waste of time & $ trying to repair kb's

Try plugging in a USB keyboard & see if that does the same thing.

1387927 2014-11-10 21:13:00 Is the light on the keyboard itself or somewhere else on the laptop? Agent_24 (57)

Theres been the odd time I have gotten pricing for keys for some laptop keyboards, they are hard to come by, and cost an arm and a leg, once I got a quote for replacement keys, each key was just under $15 each :horrified the Whole keyboard was around $60

...the light is on the actual caps lock key

1387930 2014-11-11 01:54:00 From the expert comments already given above by 1101 & Wainui it would seem that it is uneconomic to attempt to repair Rocco. I believe you have about three choices.
1. Learn to live with it.
2. Get a Bluetooth or USB keyboard and use that.
3. Replace the machine.
Depending on available cash the choice is yours.

Pretty sure you could just replace the keyboard rather than the whole computer...
