| 1373596 | 2014-04-28 00:54:00 | Arrests in relation to five aggravated robberies Counties Manukau Police have arrested and charged two men in relation to five aggravated robberies committed over the past ten days. The first robbery was at Mobil on Apirana Ave, Glen Innes on Good Friday. The second was Mobil on Mt Wellington Rd on 23 April and the third at Caltex in Penrose on 24 April. The two men, aged 21 and 22, were arrested following the fourth and fifth robberies which occurred at Mobil and Country Fried Chicken Store on Massey Rd, Mangere early on Sunday 27 April. They will appear in Manukau District Court today. Enquires into the five aggravated robberies are are continuing. Police still wish to locate 17 year old Breyarn Hose who has outstanding arrest warrants but he is no longer a person of interest in relation to the robberies. Of academic interest perhaps is that these bulletins were few and far between under the previous administration. Perhaps the new commissioner is determined to wave the flag more and by achieving a higher profile help silence those cynical about his ill chosen words in a speech at the recent funeral of a colleague. |

| 1373599 | 2014-04-28 05:50:00 | Well I think 10 days to track down two fools who have committed 5 aggravated robberies in those 10 days is pretty ordinary police work. Especially given all the robberies were in the same area and you can bet your bottom dollar all would have been on CCTV Surveillance. The delay rounding them up may well have been caused by the number of clues the robbers left behind. :lol: |
