1373550 2014-04-27 07:59:00 The plastic top tank on my Camry has cracked. Any one had experience of repairs or can suggest options. tut (12033)
1373551 2014-04-27 08:16:00 New tops are not as expensive as you might fear, especially if you go to a radiator specialist rather than Toyota. R2x1 (4628)
1373552 2014-04-27 08:20:00 Radiator repair companies can easily replace the plastic header (it is attached with a crimp strip to the core assembly. When I had one repaired, the repairer told me where the crack would be, before looking at it. Basically the plastic opposite the inlet, deteriorates from the high temperature inflow; so I don't think any attempt to "repair" the plastic would have a good outcome. wuppo (41)

Wreckers would do if budget is a consideration.......perhaps the whole radiator.

My last Toyota, the entire top exploded. Engine seized.

1373554 2014-04-28 07:08:00 I had a cracked header tank on my Honda Accord. Didn't cost much to have a new tank fitted. Make sure that the top hose is still fresh and flexible, or better still replace the hose. mzee (3324)

1373557 2014-04-29 11:00:00 Had the radiator top on my Toyota replaced 6 years ago after it cracked. Not given me any trouble since. PPp (9511)
