1373950 2014-05-09 08:39:00 then I will be looking for an alternative when Win7 is no longer supported.

Current figures some wont like:

End of sale -- Meaning you cant buy it anymore -- read the link below, its already happening some places no longer sell W7 Home Pre, other wise 5 months time its all over - October 31, 2014. By the end of this year you'll be lucky to find anyone selling W7 unless MS change their minds.

End of standard Support - January 13, 2015 End of extended Support January 14, 2020

1373951 2014-05-09 09:07:00 Just found a interesting remark on a tech site re OS Support -- and its NOT about Microsoft who have supported XP for 13 years.

The oldest OS X version that Apple currently supports is OS X Lion, which was released in 2010. The users of OS X Snow Leopard, which was released in 2009, no longer get the patches. 4 years compared to 13 Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ;)

1373952 2014-05-09 10:39:00 Oh well, Apple are a pretty cash strapped company, they need every penny they can get (to buy all the Tui). ;)
Also, remember, Apple years are worth more than common people's years. :p

I would double check that article, the reason snow leopard wasn't patched last month was the patch wasn't needed. The bug never effected snow leopard.
