1387709 2014-11-05 03:42:00 I was going to ask this in the other Office 365 thread but it's closed.

Now that I ditched my old ISP POP3 3 email service and using Outlook.com via outlook 2010 and Hotmail connector I was looking at upgrading to Office 365 Personal at this time as the finance committee still has a laptop running Win XP and doesn't want to upgrade it.. I see you can buy 365 Personal for about $68 at present and Home for $114.

If I buy a sub for Office 365 personal can I upgrade this to Office 365 home easily when she upgrades her PC or do I have to wait until my year sub expires?? Had a look on the Office 365 FAQ and help but it doesn't show this scenario..

Thanx in advance..

1387710 2014-11-05 04:30:00 Closest thing MS list is: Personal to University, but the same should apply for Personal to Home
Your Microsoft account can have only one active subscription. If you activate your Office 365 Personal subscription before your Office 365 University subscription expires, the remaining time on your Office 365 University subscription will be converted to Office 365 Personal. Of course you'll have to pay the difference for the subscriptions as you are going from 1 to 5.

Best bet would be to change close to when its due to expire.:2cents:

1387712 2014-11-13 03:25:00 One last question WT on this. If I buy the home edition of 365 with my outlook account and share it with my wife , can she use her outlook account to use Office 365 or is it all tied to the one account?? The FAQ was not very clear on this..

Thanx in advance..
