| 1387486 | 2014-11-01 21:45:00 | Hi All. Asus laptop. W8.1. Outlook.com (2007) & Windows Live Mail. I have Outlook for my email with xtra. I am trying to change to Live Mail. Our main email has changed ok but I am having trouble with a secondary name. It insists on asking for the account name & p/w, saying that the p/w is wrong. I have tried typing in the p/w again & again but still the same.The setup windows are not quite the same. Any ideas gang? PJ |

| 1387488 | 2014-11-03 03:05:00 | I use live mail with 3 different accounts and it works quite well. I know that it has a password for the overall mail program as well as individual accounts - usually just the password for the main/first account you set up. It's not asking for that one is it? I remember having a problem for a while where it kept telling me it was offline and asking for a password and that was the issue despite the fact the account it had issues with did not use the same password it was asking for. Otherwise the user name and password in the account setup should be the same as per outlook. Sure you haven't forgotten it? Thinking about it some more I remember logging into webmail in frustration to confirm I had mine right before discovering the issue I described above and using the other password. somewhere towards the top right I think there's a button that lets you go online and that was where my issue was. I'm not near the machine to be more specific. |

| 1387489 | 2014-11-03 03:43:00 | Dugimodo I saw the Sign In box you referred to & went thro the etc rigmarole of a new p,w. Have to wait now. The main acct is ,say, ABC @xtra.etc The secondary is ,say, XYZ@xtra. The p/w are different, is this how it should be? PJ |

| 1387490 | 2014-11-03 05:36:00 | Yeah PJ that sounds right, to be sure log into each on the webmail page login.yahoo.com If it works there then you have the password right. You'll need to log out of the first in order to test the 2nd of course. I have a Gmail account as my main and 2 different Xtra accounts and it works without issue (must get rid of one of those eventually). If you can log onto webmail with your password and it is still not working in Live mail I'm at a loss as to what the problem could be. |
