Its easier than fixing our hospitals . The Chinese built new hospitals in 2 weeks when they saw that covid might get out of control . Funny you mention that, :D Collins this morning said they would double the ICU beds and nurses by Christmas -- REALLY - Just where would they get them from. ? ( mind you she didn't say which Christmas) ;) Is this the same national party that initially wanted to open things up completely :rolleyes: Image the NZ Covid infection rate if we did that last year when this all started . NZ was pretty much covid free (in the general public) untill we recently opened the boarder with Aus . Anyway , the cats now out of the bag . We wont ever be able to maintain zero covid transmition . Certain sectors of the public dont care , wont get tested or vaxinated . Even when health officials are going door to door in some part of Sth Ak, those residents arnt interested & wont co-operate . Time to just accept its here for good . Draw a line in the sand between those who wont vax & the rest of us . Want to be part of our society, follow our expectations . Dont want to vax, then get banned from everywhere & everything , incl shops & hospitals . our rules .	1101 (13337)

And it is rather more important than you seem to think, as all the hospitality people and construction peole keep saying in the news. According to the Heralds daily graph only 20% ish have not had any shot at all....most have had at least one, so the hell with the anti vax, we can open up, they can get sick and maybe die and the rest of us will have no symptoms or mild ones only.	piroska (17583)

Conscientious objectors' is a prime example and there was an extremely good film of an American case, where the objector would take up a medical position, finished up being the only one to venture out and pick-up wounded Marines, marines had all scarpered back over the cliff-face . Received the Medal of Honor for his dedication . Can't remember what Kiwis' got for it, prison camp at Pahiatua perhaps!! . lurking . ps yes and we do get all the jabs going .
