1476569 2021-04-18 02:52:00 I tried searching the internet for a "freeware" backup program & all I could find was demo or such like where the features are locked out.
Can anyone please help?

1476570 2021-04-18 03:40:00 Have a look at EaseUS's ToDo backup free edition.

If all you're looking for is Full/Differential/Incremental Backup and Restore then it's a good choice.

I have been using their Workstation product for nearly a decade now and it is a great tool.

Have a look here (www.easeus.com), you can scroll down to see the features it comes with compared to the Home Edition.

Hope that helps.

1476571 2021-04-18 04:04:00 Macrium Reflect Free -- You can image the Whole System to external or Network Locations. www.macrium.com

one important thing-- Backup software is only any good if it actaully works. Seen MANY that looks like they are working and when required have actually failed.

One of my customers used the paid Acronis, the backups were always corrupting, when contacting Acronis they said it was their own fault for not testing backups.

With Macrium, you can open a image / Backup and explore, or extarct any number of files ( some you cant do that, you need to restore the whole drive) And with Macrium you can also mount the Image as a virtual Machine and run it from that if you want. It can also be restored with Bootable media, again some Backup software wont let you do thaT.

Got Ours set to do auto backups everynight, fit and forget. :)

Go with this one it's easy to use and works well. Wainui's advice should never be ignored without a very good reason.

I used to use this.
An image is good, I had one for emergency system restore back to as it was.
But for files...I used syncback. On a regular basis.

I don't like multiple images, because then you're imaging all the bloat and crud as well, I had a clean image, if I needed another I'd go back to that, then add in anything new - printers or new software (that required the hideous registry etc, not all software does) then do another.

But backups for data, syncback...it does incremental, you just create a profile initially and it looks at new and just adss them in thereafter.

Easy to use....
