1476517 2021-04-14 23:39:00 I have a Samsung c34sw monitor .
There's a Crack in the middle .

Do you guys know whether it's worth getting it inspected for repair or should I just buy another monitor?

It was 700 when I got it two years ago

1476518 2021-04-15 00:31:00 Is it a "Titan Army" brand with a samsung panel (ie not a Samsung monitor) 1101 (13337)
1476519 2021-04-15 00:47:00 Better to ask the repair agent. How much is a replacement? Ask him to give an estimate....... piroska (17583)
1476520 2021-04-15 00:50:00 Yeah it's a titan army brand

Some say they can't repair some say they want me to pay an inspection fee upfront

Problem is, they will need to find an EXACT panel to fit that off-brand model . They may need to open it up to get part numbers etc .

They wont know if parts are available unless they spend some time getting part numbers & hunting down parts
Time = money , unfortunately .

I'd bet most of the value will be in the display panel , so it wont be cheap .
Maybee just replace it

1476522 2021-04-15 02:31:00 Try PBTech. They sold it, so they are responsible for parts availability . 1101 (13337)
1476523 2021-04-15 02:41:00 Used to be a very good brand name.

Our Samsung 40" tv had a bad black line down the middle of the screen.

Just over a month out of their warranty, but they took it away and repaired it (with someone elses' innards) as the sound is definitely lower than the original.

The panels like that are not repairable, they need to be replaced and not worth the money / time.

1476525 2021-04-17 13:57:00 Cracked indicates physical damage, so unlitkely to meet warranty requirements. Have repair agent take a look, but likely uneconomic to repair. Maybe finding another similary monitor broken in another place and reshelling? Sick Puppy (6959)
1476526 2021-04-19 02:52:00 I can only imagine the issues of shipping a curved 34" panel from Ch, and not having it broken before it even gets here .
A used monitor from trademe might be cheaper ?
