Does anyone know why they have canned it The reason given by someone in the Know. From the Site Owners
They are moving the ANZ sites to a USA content management system, and unfortunately this means they can no longer host PressF1.

Not my Forum :) Cant remember who, but someone else here suggested TMMB, I had been looking at several to join /Suggest, then TMMB Appeared to be laid out similar to this one. On My Own back, Contacted the Admins, with a few questions, the response was all positive and the rest as they say is History, at TMMB they made up a new section for us.

Of course there's nothing stopping people going elsewhere, , thats upto each person of course. :) But will be great to carry on, same people just different location. OH and you may get a free virtual Choc Fish LOL

1489693 2022-12-15 23:05:00 Its sad that Press F1 is closing

There are a couple of Gaming forums in NZ

And there is NZissues.com which is very popular and has a small Technology forum

1489695 2022-12-16 07:36:00 Thanks to speedy, wainui and many others for all your help and patience over the years. I've been a member since Aug 2007, same as Gary67 and wainui. I've been going through my posts history which has been interesting. See you at TMMB bellbird (6169)

Just had a look at my profile. Join Date16-12-2004

Dec 16 2004 is the date the new vBulletin forum went live so everyone had to create a new account. Members with that joining date were most likely from the old forum, so technically have been PressF1 members prior to Dec 2004.

I cannot remember the forum software used prior to that, but all the posts were imported into vBulletin and you can find them in the archives going back to 1998. I think I joined in 2001-2002.

From the beginning ... pressf1.pcworld.co.nz

Then in 2002 a chat forum was added to calm the die-hards down who were fretting about the [OT] threads mixed with the technical stuff - pressf1.pcworld.co.nz

:)

1489697 2022-12-16 08:16:00 In December 2010 gamejunkie asked "what did you do on boxing day?". There are 4 pages of lovely posts with contributions by regulars of the time. I found it among my posts history. Not sure how easy it would be to find for those who have done thousands of posts. Worth a read through. bellbird (6169)
