1489678 2022-12-14 01:29:00 All good things come to an end. I will miss the forum.

But I have learnt a lot and have had a lot of help, particularly from Wainui who has always been there to help me with my PC problems. Thank you Wainui. Much appreciated. You taught me well.

I've had a great time since I joined in 2005.

Auf Wiedersehen, Au revoir and farewell.

While this forum is closing we can move to the other, -- Carry on, same stuff ( polite version) different location :D

1489680 2022-12-14 02:56:00 What a ride this has been.

Just over 14 years here. Longest time being a member of any forum.

Had to look back to see what my first post was about. Turns out 2008 me was concerned with a 900mb temp folder :D

My latest thread was about my PC soft locking, which i was able to resolve.

I remeber Chill helping me pick out parts for my first PC years ago. Now there's RBG and multiple screen everywhere.

I still need to figure out my media collection, building a server or getting a NAS but i'll save that threat for our home on TMMB.

The 20th will be a sad day, but i hope to see you over on the other site.

1489681 2022-12-14 04:34:00 I have no Idea when I joined, I do remember reading the press F1 section of the magazine every month and going through the CD though. Somewhere along the way I cancelled my magazine subscription and moved onto this site instead. Been very helpful over the years, and I've attempted to give back when I can.

Cheers all, have a drink for me over Xmas.

1489684 2022-12-14 20:37:00 I shall also miss this forum, I mostly use the search instead of posting cause the info I want has usually been asked before, 90% of time get my answer. (also taken me a while to remember password!!)

This has probably been asked, I'm sure it has but..
Is there any way to save/transfer all the previous postings from this form to TMMB in some sort of format
I know they were trying to do it for the Trademe coin thread which also trfed to tmmb
but that is probably a different format??

This is what someone did,
"And here's the unofficial version...
Quick and dirty website without all the bells and whistles (will make it bring the relevant messages in due course and not just spit out the whole thread), but the at least the data is there
tmboard.freevar.com

tmmb.co.nz

Only a few days to do my final searches...

1489685 2022-12-15 05:18:00 I would at least love a way to easily save a copy of my own threads, for technical reference. Agent_24 (57)
1489686 2022-12-15 10:41:00 I will miss this forum that I have visited almost daily for years and thank the menbers for their
shared knowledge and assistance given, especially guys like Wainiu, Speedy and many others.
I have now joined TMMb and hope for a similar experience. Merry Chrismas and a Good Year to all.

1489687 2022-12-15 20:18:00 . . . . . i don't remember when . . . . I could remember .
I do recall when we all sorted a few cd's for the index . (Crowd sourcing?) Back when the cleaners were believed to unplug the servers to use their vacuum cleaners most Friday evenings to crash PF1 for the weekend . Mary had lots of reboots to do .
