1488908 2022-10-27 03:40:00 That's how it used to work on earlier versions , but MS appear to have blocked that option.

1488910 2022-10-27 05:05:00 Paul, if you add to above have a read -- superuser.com There are ways of doing it, the one I use and works every time is the command prompt of OOBE\BYPASSNRO

Read the whole damn thing. You can do it on home with RUFUS.

You have the option on Professional, but considering most people have home editions which are cut down that option is removed.

1488911 2022-10-27 09:05:00 In that Video, watch and listen carefully from approx 2.50 - 3.10. The guy even says the button has been removed by Microsoft in newer versions. So basically if you don't run the command as above it will go in an endless loop. Earlier versions you can still do it. wainuitech (129)
1488912 2022-10-27 18:54:00 In the video at 1:19, the keyboard layout shows New Zealand Aotearoa. Even Microsoft has been sucked in. Bryan (147)
1488913 2022-10-27 19:20:00 In the video at 1:19, the keyboard layout shows New Zealand Aotearoa. Even Microsoft has been sucked in. That's been there for a short while now over previous builds, haven't quite been game to select it, heaven knows what format you may get ;) wainuitech (129)

Usually when the smart people who figure out these "workarounds" Announce them, they often say along the lines dont know for how long this will work.

Old story -- MS find out about a workaround, patch it, others find new workaround and so it continues :)

At the moment - Rufus will change the ISO to allow a non MS account by default.

One other way (bit of mucking about) is I have a setup email and use that, once the PC is up and running, go into the settings, Accounts / other Users - Create a Local account, set as Admin, reboot select that new account then fully remove the temp MS one.
