1489243 2022-11-06 21:11:00 Has anyone bought an ex-lease desktop from PC Traders?
If so was it a good deal?
My ex-lease Dell laptop has been excellent so I think ex-lease is the way to go.
Your opininions please.

1489244 2022-11-06 21:57:00 I've bought a couple, and if you get the right specials I found them great value. It was mainly due to the wiring at this place, but the power supply blew just outside of the 1 year warranty, and when I asked if I could buy the equivalent replacement off them, never got a response. the_bogan (9949)

Comes down to the seller's reputation in the end.

1489246 2022-11-08 06:08:00 I've bought many old / ex lease computers over the years, but not from PC Traders. Most had bad capacitors (which I was happy to replace), but were otherwise adequate machines for general purposes (not gaming).
It might be telling however that I've also sent almost all of them to the recycling.
Machines of that generation were typically all 10GB drives, and often a bit limited within their BIOS regarding what more they could take, or lacked other PATA connections on the MOBO.
